Using Revit 2012, we can input your building (existing or new) into a complete 3D model.  BIM, or Building Information Modeling, means all aspects of your building are input into a 3D model (walls, doors, windows, cabinets, light fixtures, conduits, etc.).  With a 3D model not only do you have a true visual of the building and it's components, you can see and test how each of these components interact with one another.  By using collision detection software, you can resolve construction issues prior to doing any actual construction. 

Not only will you have an actual 3D model, you can add detailed information to your objects (door/window types, manufacturers, color, etc.), and then extract and review this information once the building model has been completed.  This gives your facility manager a usuable working model of your building.
